Why It Matters
Under Canadian law, certification by an accredited third-party inspection body is a legal requirement for all electrical products.

Over the years, many customers have told us about their costly and frustrating installation experiences after unknowingly buying uncertified ceiling fans purchased from non-Canadian retailers and online shopping sites.
When inspecting the ceiling fan before installing it, the electrician was unable to find the required Canadian certification seal from an accredited certification body, such as CSA, UL or Intertek, and refused to perform the work.
